The introduction:

The title of this blog may not be a dead giveaway of what it is all about because as a writer I tend to wander in my head. Who knows what will end up here but whatever it is it will be interesting.

Lingeringto dwell in contemplation, thought, or enjoyment

MuseBe absorbed in thought. (n. a source of inspiration)

Providing meanings of words should help with understanding the name/wording of "Lingering Muse". I might be inclined to explain it in detail later on but for right now take what you will with what is given.

Do not expect to find details on how to knit your next sweater or how to tie-die that antique chair you bought at the neighbors garage sale. That will not be here, try Pinterest for that, I hear they have tons of nifty ideas floating about there!

Still interested? Well okay then!

Have you ever heard a song that made you sit back and start writing or living a story in your head?

It is one of the most interesting things that always happens to me. I start to see a book I have read or one that I hope to put together one day and well lets just say I end up coming back to reality hours later.

I have been writing since I was young, it was always a release for me. Writing became a way to put down the wild thoughts that were always running through my head, thoughts that made no sense until put on paper. When I didn't write I felt those ideas, thoughts, needs, and wishes just build up to a point where it felt like an over load.

Imagine a barrel filling with water after every storm, never being emptied. Finally during one storm the barrel starts to over flow and everything that it held started to escape in a uncontrolled fashion. It is nothing but a huge mess that someone will need to clean up at some point.

That is how my mind works, the need to express is strong and without the ability to do that it becomes a mess.

So, there you have it. This blog will be just that, a joint effort between my brain and fingers. A collaboration that has been long forgotten and ignored.
